Profile of a Bachelor’s Degree Programme Graduate

 

The graduate has gained expert, methodological and theoretical qualifications and competencies in the area of the social sciences and related branches (pedagogy, andragogy, sociology, psychology, economy, philosophy, law, etc.). They have acquired expertise in, for instance, adult didactics, professional and interest-related adult education, personnel management and personnel activities, methods of personnel work and methods of social research. They have prepared themselves for a variety of jobs in a heterogeneous environment.

The graduate is characterized by their high level of adaptability and capability to perform in a variety of work positions (teaching, preparation of educational programmes, organizational, conceptual and advisory activities in the area of management and development of human resources). On the basis of their multidisciplinary training, they demonstrate remarkable skills in communicating with various institutions and departments of organizations.

The graduates have a broad range of high quality employment opportunities in the sphere of corporate education, public and private educational institutions, personnel and educational departments of various organizations of public administration, trade unions, churches, charity, humanitarian and political institutions, cultural and leisure educational facilities, personnel agencies, civic and professional associations, mass media, advertisement agencies, etc.  With regard to their employability, the graduates face no regional limitations.

 

Profile of a Follow-up Master’s Degree Programme Graduate

 

The graduate has gained theoretical, expert and methodological qualifications and competencies in the area of the social sciences and related branches (pedagogy, andragogy, sociology, psychology, economy, philosophy, law, etc.). The knowledge gained within the previous Bachelor’s degree programme has been furthered developed and deepened through the form of lectures, seminars and practicums within the follow-up Master’s degree programme, in concord with the current state of scientific knowledge.

The Master’s degree programme has allowed students to become professionally oriented and to specialize within the scope of restrictive elective and optional subjects. In view of this, this study programme has offered them an opportunity to concentrate on vocational education, leisure and citizenship education, adult education didactics or personnel management.

The graduates have similar broad and high quality employment opportunities as the Bachelor’s degree graduates. Considering line of study of the Master’s degree, the graduates are capable of performing expert activities at the higher level of management, which can be exemplified by independent analytical, planning, conceptual, methodological and advisory activities, team leading etc.

The graduates obtain employment – frequently in managerial positions – in the sphere of personnel education, public and private educational institutions, personnel and educational departments of various organizations of public administration, trade unions, churches, charity, humanitarian and political institutions, cultural and leisure educational facilities, personnel agencies, civic and professional associations, mass media, advertisement agencies, research in the field of sociology and education etc. With regard to their employability, the graduates face no regional limitations.
